To anyone concerned about the past post of the supposed "Ferret Pelt"
being sold on e-bay please take a clpse look at it. As the seller
describes the bottom jaw has a clip and you can clearly see the ball
clasp attached to the front foot. The seller only added ferret to the
title because occasionally a vintage fur piece from Sears will show up
and they used to sell ferret pelts from overseas but it was not refered
to as ferret. I don't recall what the name was but some other countries
still do process ferrets for their fur.

The Angora ferrets were orginally bred for their hides when Soren
Thingaard purchased the stock for the pet trade. Rumor has it that
when he ran into problems with the government he sold much of his stock
animals to a dealer in China as well as keeping some for himself (POW
still has adds for the ferrets)

There is debate as to what will happen to the ferrets from there if they
will be mass bred for pets, food or pelts.

Peace
