I lost the post, but someone here wanted to know how to brush a ferret as
most of them seem to hate to be brushed.  I found it easier to "pluck"
them...just pinch some fur and pluck it out...do it for as long as they
tolerate it, which is much longer than they will let you brush them I bet.
 
Here is something else I did.  Mine have always loved a tube I made from a
door mat (one of the plastic ones with stiff plastic "fingers" ) rolled
with the bristly side in.  They go in there and scoot back and forth, back
and forth.  I imagine it feels like a great back scratcher.  They hate to
be brushed, but they love this.  If they don't, you can always turn it
back into a door mat!
