Good Day, Friends!!

Well, us SW Floridians have had no luck in locating a ferret club to date
(the one we were referred to that's listed on some web sites is no longer
in existence in FL; owners have moved to NC :-< ).

I found a telephone number for a ferret shelter in Sarasota, Florida. I
called and the woman has only one ferret now, who's sick. She won't
consider adopting him until he's well again. I've found nothing on any
local clubs.

Does ANYONE know of any shelters or clubs located anywhere from Sarasota
(north) to Fort Myers (south) along the Gulf Coast??

BTW, I found this saying (actually, it may be two run together..) on a
Chow-Chow (dog) mailing list and thought that if I changed the animal it'd
fit PERFECTLY (the author's e-mail address is referenced, BIG, 'didn't see
a name):

        Life:
To the young it's an adventure.
To the happy it is the smell of Spring.
To the old it is the memories.
To the sad, it is a burden that must be accounted.
We have so much to live for and so little time to do it.
Cherish each moment with your ferret as if it is your last.
