Greetings fellow ferreteers

I'm looking for any tips on how to treat a ferret with insulinoma/adrenal
and now ulcers.

She is currently on Amox. with the Sulcrate every 8 hrs., but after
seeming to respond to the treatment, she has suddenly become lethargic
and stopped eating again.

She's been on treatment for one week today, there is still some sign of
blood in the stools but she has stopped vomiting and grinding her teeth.

I've got her on a pretty bland diet of soup now, and have been trying to
coax her to eat every two hours but not getting much down her. Her
hydration is OK, but her back end is weak.

Her Vet suggested cutting down her pred. to once every two days until
she began to respond to treatment, but I've put her back to her regular
dose (1mg/2x daily PO).

Any insider tips or first hand experiences would be much appreciated,
I'm feeling a little lost right now and aren't sure on what I should be
expecting.

I had thought of supplementing with a low dose of iron to help build
her up from anaemia, and was wondering if this was a safe or worthwhile
endeavour.

Any thoughts or tips would be so very very appreciated,

thanks in advance,
Wendi and a not so happy little Zoey...
