I talked to Jean's local vet (the university is 90 miles away), and they
have agreed to dispense meds locally to save time & shipping expense and
charge it to your Visa or Master Card.  The vet is Dr. Bruce King,
509-922-7465.  Sandy in accounting can do the paperwork for credit to Jane
Smith's account.  She can take a dollar amount toward expenses and send you
the receipt as she's doing for me.
 
Dr. King was the local vet who was kind enough to go on site when the
tragedy first happened.  There is also an outstanding bill for his services
to date.  They also have an email account if you would like to thank them
