Oh my goodness are you in for fun!  OK, I put it on their bellies so I
can distract them while they get their nails trimmed and ears cleaned.  I
put it really far from the door when I need to make a getaway.  Sometimes
I put a drop to disguise the taste of meds.  I let ferrets who don't get
along share it so that they can get used to being close without fighting.
I put a drop on kid's (and other people who aren't used to ferrets and
might be a little afraid) hands so that they can be charmed by the
kisses.
 
You're gonna love ferretone!  BTW, although it's not quite as good for
them, in a pinch they're almost as crazy about any food oil.
