Barb asked about what kind of Vit C I use:

For adding Vit C, I'm using the powder form. Well, specifically, for ease
of measuring, I'm using ester C which is powdered but packaged into capsules
in 500mg doses. So, easy to take for me, easy to count out mg for ferrets.

Honestly, they don't seem to be bothered by the taste of the powdered C
sprinkled directly on their food. Potpie specifically seems to pick out the
heavily dusted pieces, but she likes cranberry juice. Also, btw, another
good way to get vit C into them - cranberry juice & dried cranberries. I
have not tried C in the water.

Again, up to 200mg/day doesn't seem to cause diarrhea in an 800g ferret.
