Concerning the ferret who was afraid of heights and wouldn't ride on shoulders:
 
I have tried to train my two ferrets to ride on my shoulders, but far from
being afraid of heights, they seem totally *unaware* of heights.  They don't
even bother to hold on to me, and end up just slithering off my shoulder
(and I have to catch them, or they'd fall to the ground).  When I only had
Antigone, I figured that she just wasn't very bright, but now Minima does
almost exactly the same thing, so I have to wonder.
