I was wondering... how would you rate your deaf ferrets intelligence on a
scale of 1-5? Intelligence may not be the best word to use here, but I
had to pick something. One being very "slow", to five being brilliant.
Three would be average. You get the idea. I'm looking at lots of things
to judge their intelligence such as quickness in learning tricks,
quickness in learning litter training, problem solving, alertness, level
of exploration activity, etc..

I'm asking because theoretically........... Waardenburg syndrome in some
species leaves them quite ordinary (very average iq) or even slow. I
forget where I read that in researching WS, but I found it in at least
two sources that I remember.

I'll start:

Jubilee (rip) 3
Ping: 2
Pong: 5

All my other ferrets that are hearing are a three except for one that may
be a 4, and one that is a definate 1 (poor thing lol). I'm not doing a
survey or an anectdotal type of study. I was just curious and throwing
it up for discussion.
