I've gone through eight Adrenal surgeries, all right adrenals done by
Cryo surgery and all surgeries done by the same vet.  Price range from
$400-$500.  $800 sounds really expensive
 
Critter  Left adrenal.  Now on Lupron
Rascal   Bi Lateral.  Never needed hormone replacement
SusieQ   Left adrenal, one year later needed right done.  No problems
         only bruising so she was sore for a few days
Buster   Bilateral adrenal. Never needed hormone replacement
Moose    Left adrenal
Gus-     none YET!  (but I'm suspicious
Little Buster- None YET
Tequila  Bilateral no need for hormone replacement.  Showed adrenal
         symptoms a year later, performed surgery, could not find
         anything so now on Lupron
Vin Dweasel.  Nothing yet
 
All were themselves within a day except Tequila and SusieQ.  Both are
very small and had some bruising so they were a little sore.
