As you all have read FFDRI (Ferret Friends Disaster Response International)
has been in Disaster Response status since last Monday evening (1/6/97).
Specifially we are responding to the floods in the State of California.
Last weekend (1/10-1/11/97) CDFA and volunteers went into the areas to take
supplies and lend assistance. This weekend 1/18-1/19/97) they will be going
in again. The situation in California is GRAVE - well over 3,000 animals
have been effected by this disaster. Many animals are dead, many many
others are homeless (with parents combing the countryside looking for them),
many need shelter, medical treatment, and all need supplies. Heading the
disaster effort for the animals is United Animal Nations Emerency Animal
Rescue Service (headed by Terri Crisp). UAN is recognized WORLD WIDE as
being the number one privately funded non-profit Diaster animal rescue
organization. They are indeed the BEST IN THE WORLD!!

If you are in the state of California (or in a state adjacent to CA) please
lend assistance, donations, and or supplies in the effort to rescue the
animals. If you can help please send a private E-Mail message to
[log in to unmask] as soon as possible.

Also please be advised that we are currently following another weather
problem in PA which if it esculates will cause us to declare another
Disaster Response Stutus for this state.
