I have taken my ferret flying with me in a Cessna before. This is a
single engine plane and they do not require pressurization. I do not
think that it would be a problem if the ferret is okay to travel by car.
That is the guideline we used to make decisions as to fly or drive.

BUT:
The ferrets should STAY in their carriers at all times. ANYTHING can
happen in a small plane. I would not think of even opening a carrier
in a small plane as the ferret can get inside the engine through the
firewall. You must use the rudders and they are footpedals, so if a
ferret gets under it, he may die. I have had the door come open and
there are windows without screens on the small planes, so I would be
very leary of having a ferret loose in the cabin - even if you think
he's asleep.

If you do this, plan to be extra cautious! Good luck. And, since it
is relatively flat, you will probably not be that high!

It's amazing how much can be accomplished if nobody cares who gets the
credit!
