Megan we have had the same thing happen with our little girl.  She is a
very dark sable, and about her second coat change, she started turning
white around he haunches too... She is three now, and nearly her entire
back legs, back feet, and bum are pure white.  I haven't noticed anything
wrong with her, so I doubt it is anything to worry about... It would be
interesting to hear from others to see if this is common....
