>"Mommy, does Rocky even know he is a ferret?"

I know that this was a question Wolfy's son had regarding their ferret.
But it brought to mind my puppy.

Enter Twister at 6 weeks of age and 6 lbs. Other animals in house, 3
good sized ferrets all weighing it at 2.5+lbs. Introduce puppy to
ferrets. Oldest ferret beats the pee out puppy and steals toys. 7
months later, Twister weighs 60lbs and is a very intelligent Border
Collie mix. He lives for ferret out of cage time. Wrestles with oldest
ferret still (he lays on the ground and is supervised by us), my oldest
ferret still beats the pee out of him and still steals his toys (right
out of his mouth occasionally). Now to the really funny part. All of
his toys are carefully hidden by him (most of the time) into the ferret
tubes or carefully selected hiding places. He loves the ferret kibble to
the point that if he hears them digging in their bowl (mine are kibble
flingers) that he must rush over to gobble up any pieces that hit the
ground and he doesn't eat kibble himself. Treat time (ferrettone,
laxatone, nutrical) have him sitting patiently and drooling for his
tidbit as well. And he mushes his head into the tubes trying to follow
the ferrets while they play chase down the tubes.

Now my question is: Do I have a dog or a really HUGE ferret?

Just my take on things...I understand that it can be really easy for a
kitten to think that they are ferrets too....oh the things to look
forward to :)
