Hi, this is my first posting. I have 6 ferrets that i use to controll
rabbit numbers on local farms. I am fascinated to read all your postings,
an to be honest, alarmed at the number of medical problems you encounter.
Is this diet related? I think it is. The ferret is a carnivore, and fresh
meat [chicken, heart, liver etc.]should be the largest part of his diet.
Dried foods have it all in, but seeing as the fert has such a short
digestive tract, he needs easily digestible meat to do well on. Your
high rate of visiting the vet, is brought on by your use of dried foods.
