My brother just recently told me about a shareware program called Acdsee.
Anyway it is a great viewing program with one WONDERFUL feature. You can
take any picture from your browser and download it and then with one click
of the mouse it becomes your desktop!

I love the picture of Da Vinci's of the Lady with White Ermine ( or could be
called Lady with Albino Ferret. It is on the Ferrets in Art History page.
Anyway here is how you do it and the Acdsee is free for evaluation. Just do
a net search and find where to download the version you need. There is one
for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 and so on.

Anyway I don't usually get excited about a program but this one is something
I really wanted - the way to get my Lady with Ermine desktop. And it is
gorgeous!

First you go to the Ferret in Art History Page - you can access it easily
from Pam Greene's Ferret Central Page. Find the image you want (or any
image on any other page) download it into a file using your right mouse
button and SAVE. It doesn't save the whole file just the image you clicked
on! So if you want more than one from a page or only one it works! Launch
Acdsee and click to find the downloaded image file. After you find it there
is a icon of a desk with a light over it on the Toolbar - just click on this
and follow the simple directions. And there you are the desktop of your
dreams!

After you do this once from then on when you right mouse click on an image
a menu will pop up and asks you how you want the image saved. One of those
options is as desktop so you can change the desktop image very easily.

Many thanks to the producers of the Ferrets in Art History Page - the best
images ever and so classic!

Now I never want to turn off my computer as the desktop is so wonderful
but...I must go to work. Already late because of this but had to let
everyone know!

Donette and John
Hershey "our white ermine", Scooter "the 8 years old" and Fritz "wiggler"

By the way Scooter eats cocktail sized cooked shrimp as a treat every night
(no sauce) and he is active and healthy as a horse. This is a supplement to
Iams kitten chow. The other two don't like shrimp, however Hershey and
Scooter both love the can cat food by Amore with crab and shrimp in it.
Fritz just wants the Iams. But all love Trix cereal for a special treat and
it is vitamin fortified so I feel a little won't hurt.
