As many of you already know, the House Bill 426, which will give Maryland
ferret owners enhanced legal rights and end the unnecessary execution of pet
ferrets, has already passed the House and Senate.  However, there were a
small number of votes against the bill, and some county health officials
continue to urge the Governor NOT to sign the bill.
 
If you are a Maryland resident, please speak out NOW -
send a letter or postcard to:
 
    the Honorable Governor Paris Glendenning
     State House, Annapolis, MD, 21401
 
All you need to say is "please sign HB 426, the "ferret bill!"
