It is with so much pride at being a member of this wonderful community
that I announce the total so far for the ADV donation drive through the
FML Card Exchange.  Cards have been coming in since last Friday and the
4 day total stands at $325.00!  This not only amazes me, but it also
pleases me to see that many people are finally believing ADV is no
longer just a threat.  It is real and it is killing our ferrets.
 
I want to take a minute to thank the special people who are contributing!
I have received several very large donations from people who are blessed
with a kind and generous heart and I have had several donations from
people who I know can ill-afford to be donating to anything right
now....and yet they gave!  There have been one's, five's, ten's and
twenties, and each and every penny of this has come from someones heart!
A heart that loves ferrets!
 
I know there are still many in the community that do not take ADV
seriously.  They are believing old and outdated information and
unfortunately, I feel more ferrets are going to have to die before these
people believe.  But to see the kind of support this ADV Fundraising
drive is getting, I know that more and more people do see what this
disease will do to our ferrets if we don't find a way to stop it!
 
So, to everyone who has donated, and to those planning to donate, my
ferrets thank you!  But more importantly, your own ferrets thank you!!
You are, indeed, a very special group of individuals and I hope when
you look in the mirror today, you will be able to smile and know you
have done a good thing!!
