About two weeks ago we bought a 6 week old cinamin at a very nice pet store.
We called him Perrin and spoiled him rotten. He is a very hyper and rowdy
ferret. We (My SO and I) decided that we needed another ferret to keep him
company (sound familiar?) so we went to the Big City to find one. The pet
store we went to last time had some that were on quarrintine so we went to a
different one, who perhaps didn't treat their animals quite as well. (They
were from local breeders, not MF) Because we were impatient and perhaps a
little bit wanting to get animals out of that place, we bought Tassy, a 10
week old female albino. Tassy is VERY skinny and missing a lot of hair.
But she is a VERY calm ferret who usualy prefers to sit on your lap rather
than run around. Needless to say, they aren't the best of friends.

Perrin spends every waking minute attacking Tassy. She hisses at him and
squeals often, but he won't stop. We pull them apart when it got bad, but
we felt like we needed to let them get to know each other. Well...now it's
been a several days. The FAQ method of getting them to know each other
doesn't work at all with these ferrets.

What I would like to know are these things:

Is Perrin trying to play with Tassy? Or establishing dominance? Or
defending his territory? Will it ever let up?

How can we make Tassy a healthier and more happy ferret? We are feeding her
lots of ferret food, but she still gets sick.(Vomiting and Diaheriea) We are
taking her to see the vet, but I guess I mean treatment ways, not medicine,
etc.

I kind of get the impression that Tassy would be happier as a solitary pet,
are their ferrets like that? We have a friend who would probably buy her
and keep very good care of her, does this sound like a good idea?

Maybe these are old questions, but I sure would appreciate your
help...thanks bunches in advance.
