The giddy and fun news is that Mini-Me---the terrible biting terror of our
home? is going to be a calendar girl!!!!!!!!!!!

All body parts and blood have been removed from the pictures of her taken
by a fast moving professional photographer. She leapt straight at him
and ran up his leg, and terrorized the poor man. In one photo shot
attempted-she leapt off the stage onto his bent arm holding the camera.

That's my Mini-Me!

As soon as I hear more about the calender-I will let you all know.
Mini-ME's pictures all had props I brought in for the various seasons.
I don't know what shot will be used. But I look forward to giving the
photographer a few calendars that will be sold to benefit the shelters of
the FML list.

Unfair and Sad News about probable fancy racing pigeon--for any interested.

No vet will look at the pretty white bird with the plummage around its neck
like a high collar. It is eating well, cooing, friendly. Very poopie. It
has a shiny red band with numbers and sideways letters. No vet will see if
it has parasites or is in need of medical attention that I have called. No
agency will take it. The raccoons went crazy trying to get it on my porch
last night-so it cannot stay here. I cannot let it in my house, and chance
illness in my little ones. I have no room to put it. Not a counter with
space is left anymore..

Mary called all day, and showed me the many places she contacted. If I
had an owl or a hawk-I would have a place to take this little one. But I
don't. My neighbor will keep it two days.

We will probably have to let it loose to die after that. I have no place
for it. Mary is allergic and cannot touch it. No one will help us.

I will be one of those people who lets an animal loose in the woods to die.
Our only hope is the red band with the numbers on it. We contacted the
Homing Pigeon Association of Elgin Illinois. But let us face it--what do
I expect them to do?..... Nothing.

This is going to be one of the worst things I have ever done. I don't
know how I am going to bring myself to do this.
