Don't blame yourself.  I started to do the same thing about Sage's unneeded
surgery (which the vet recommended and I opposed, but oh well, here we are
today and Sage has a huge cut down her belly for nothing!) We're supposed to
trust our vet...heck we're putting the lives of our beloved fuzzies into
their hands.  We need to trust their judgement in thise situations.  And
usually, for the good vets, the outcome is favorable and our trust has been
well placed.  But there are bad vets and we don't always see them for who
they are until it's too late.  I'm sorry you lost Angel, and I send my
condolences.  Please do not blame yourself, there simply is no reason to.
