Just a quick note.......
 
As everyone has adequately covered microchips are NOT tracking devices,
however at the Tufts Animal Expo this year I DID speak to a rep from one
of the chip companies (I think Avid though I can't be 100% sure) and he
said "lojack" type technology is indeed coming and in the near future.
It's something that they're working on now, evidently with some degree
of success.
