Jim and Crystal Kennedy are giving everything they have to keep their
shelter open. Jim says their shelter, the Ferret Rescue of Maine, is
the only one currently operating in the whole state. It's been very
difficult for the couple to manage without volunteer support. And they
both work full-time jobs plus overtime to keep the financial burden
from escalating beyond control. Still, there is a five-figure vet bill
to be paid, and emergencies such as the group of ferrets rescued from
someone's car trunk or the three starving ones turned over to their
shelter by a local humane society.

You can help Jim and Crystal keep saving ferrets' lives! Just visit
