I have been through the same thing over and over when I go out or into
stores with any of my ferrets.  I've even been to home depot yes.  lol.
Thank God when Sean carries his Rocky to different places people don't
come out and say the hateful things they do when I carry a ferret.  That
would kill him if they did.  It would kill me.  Its a bad enough hearing
it myself
