First, regarding the rice sand box, I put Chandler in there after he had
been playing in the bathroom sink..he was maniacally grabbing at the water
as it streamed down..so needless to say he was a little damp so when in his
box the rice kind of stuck to him..he went even more crazy, wish I had a
video cam.
 
Anyway, yes he does eat it on occassion, when he starts to ask for the soy
sauce I will be concerned.
 
Couple of questions here, I am beginging to think Chandler is hearing
impaired..either that or he has a serious case of selective hearing..I
tried all the normal things and couldnt tell if I was getting a response or
not, even when I turn on the vac. cleaner, he did not react, and instead
he climbed all over it while I vacuumed..is there any sure fire way to test
for deafness in ferrets?  is deafeness common?
