Whether large or small breeders have some responsibilities.

For examples:
They should avoid creating fancies that have health problems, something
many have not done by selling the unusual ferrets rapidly instead of
following at least 3 generations throughout life beforehand and reading
on similar presentations in other mammals. They should provide A/C
during hot weather. They should transport with all due care.

The list could go on for pages and pages.

For some breeders you will find historical info and links in the FML
Archives. The URL is in the header of every day's FML so is easy to
find!

Here, from yesterday's FML is the uppermost part of the header sections
that always follows the table of contents so all can see what it looks
like for easier finding in the future:

Part of the problem that breeders have is that purchasers sometimes
want appearances that come with a high genetic burden. Honestly, the
breeders should have the guts to say to the people, "Those appearances
tend to come with health problems, many kits lost, etc. so I won't do
that." The purchasers should have the love to realize that is not only
a reasonable stance but is the ONLY reasonable stance.

A number of states currently have PET LEMON LAWS for when pets are
sickly and more are adding them! See:

Meanwhile, Buyer Beware!

Remember to adopt!
