How far to Tunnel?

My guys started digging a tunnel under the walkway to the patio.  The dug
until the actually came out the other side of the walkway that is 10 feet
wide.  Boy, were they surprised.  I guess it is like a prison break,
except when you come up you are in the middle of the compound with all
the prison guards (me and Mom) looking-and laughing-at you.
 
I would not have let them dig that far except I know where they were
headed and they would still be inside the 'prison'.  Ha ha ha.
