hi to all humans and critters on the fml.

you post!

laurel, it cracks me up no end when my 2.5 pound alvin-meister (ferret)
gets to dooking and wardancing, and within a matter of seconds, clears
the room of four fat, sassy, extremely cool cats. these cats leap onto
tall furniture, kitchen cabinets, drapes, humans, whatever is in reach,
to escape this one skinny little ferret-monster!

bob, thank you so much for that info. next time one of my fuzzies chokes,
i'll know what to do. it happened to us once...sally was coughing/choking
on something. she was backed up in a corner, shaking her head, obviously
having trouble breathing. instinctively, i picked her up, held her
upside-down against my chest, and patted somewhat forcefully on her little
chest. this caused her to make a few coughing/retching sounds, and then,
thank goodness, she was ok. she probably wasn't seriously blocked.
anyway, if it ever happens again, i'll know what to do (thanks to you.)

sarah, they get really possessive of those smelly undershirts, don't they?
my baby-faced little sable, dweezil, insists that every friday night we rent
a clint eastwood movie. so far, he's got that tough-guy squint down pat.
(he still needs some work on the "go ahead, make my day" thing...when
dweezil says it, it sounds like "cluck cluck cluck." dweezil clucks like a
chicken. a REALLY TOUGH chicken.)

pam, i don't know if this would work for ferrets, but i've always read
in my cat magazines to wrap the cords in aluminum foil. i bet it would
work...can you imagine biting into a piece of foil! yuck!

love you guys,

linda, sally, alvin, dweezil, sparky, joshua, misty, raven, flossie
(human, ferrets, felines...i have a hard time remembering who's who
anymore)
