Dear Ferret Folks-

Oh, the horror, the horror....

Somehow Todd, fetish-like lover of anything in a plastic bag (bread,
screws and bolts, pliers, toiletries, metal washers, small dinosaurs)
managed to get ahold of a sample of Diane Walls Dry Dook Soup Mix. I
don't know what is in there, but it is now spread out in a thin layer
*all over* the inside of the donated multi-level cage that was
delivered a few weeks ago by the Kind Lady.

There is a scrum of brown, crumbly, Dry Dook Soup Mix in the bottom of
each and every hammie. There is dry Dook Soup Mix caked on the plastic
level inside the cage beneath the waterer. It is not precisely dry,
there.to It is a slimy paste where the water has dripped on it. That
plastic level will be snapped out and placed in the dishwasher.

The rest of the cage? Well, I'm thinking vacuum cleaner for some of it.
The rest? I'll have to take all of those lovely John Deere Hammies out
one by one and shake them outside. I'm sure that Dry Dook Soup Mix is
a great fertilizer. I will make a point to shake it over the row of
Munstead Lavender that I planted last spring. With luck, it will bloom
this year.

I will just have to go to the Providence Pet Expo on the fourteenth of
this month and get MORE from Diane, who will have a little spot there..
Hope to see some of you there, too. Was this the lads attempt at
advertising? Well, it was clumsy and unappealing. They are not yet
ready for Madison Avenue.
