Announcing the 5th Annual Michigan Ferret Rescue & Adoption Networks
walk-a-thon.  The place is the Kennedy Park in Eastpointe located on
Stephens between Gratiot and Kelly.  The time is 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
There will be a picnic lunch served.  If so inclined please bring a dish
to pass.  Pledge sheets are available through the m/fran website or by
contacting Kris Mewton at sirk1 at comcast dot net OR (586) 772-3958.
The date of this event is May 23rd.
 
The Michigan Ferret Rescue & Adoption Network, Inc. is a recognized
non profit organization.  All donations are tax deductible and a
receipt will be issued.  All proceeds from the walk-a-thon and various
other fund raisers go towards the support of ferret shelters.  I am
proud to say that the proceeds from last years fund raisers benefited 8
organizations/vets and ferret shelters.
 
All ferrets attending the walk-a-thon MUST have proof of rabies,
distemper and adv testing.  The adv testing can be by United or Avecon
on THEIR letterhead.  If not tested, the poct test will be administered
at the walk.  The cost of the test is $12.00  If you need to have your
ferret tested, please remove food and water from him/her for an hour
PRIOR to testing.  NO treats, food or drink of any kind should be given!
