I don't want to miss out on the intro's so better late than never right!
 
My name is Barb and I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  I can't remember
exactly where I heard about the FML but was likely either through Ferret
Central or through the old Ferret Chat Server that Lars and Nadine hosted.
Guess that was hmm... I don't know....maybe 5 years ago.
 
I mostly lurk, not by choice, but cause I'm already up to my eyeballs
involved in the Alberta Ferret Society which is soon to enter its 4th year
and which seems to have taken over my life.  By my own choice of course!
 
My first contact with ferrets was while working as a volunteer at our city
zoo.  I fell head over heels in love and haven't looked back since.  That
would have been about 12 years ago I guess.  Today I am owned by 4 ferrets,
Boots, Julie, LittleUn and Chico.  All adopted from the Society except for
Boots who I've had since he was a wee baby.  There are usually one of two
fosters staying at any given moment as well.  Right now its Elmo...or Elmy
as I fondly call him.  I haven't been able to find two slippers that match
since the day he arrived..  but he is a dear and I'm hoping he'll have a
new home soon.
