I feed my guys Totally Ferret and have found that not many ferrets will
ignore it for long.
 
To get them used to other foods, I give my guys other foods out of my hand
as treats.  I just buy a small size and rotate through the different kinds
of food.  Sometimes it's in 8in1, sometimes it's Marshalls, sometimes it's
Zupreeme.
 
They love anything you give them from your hand, especially if they think
you are eating it.  Sometimes I sit on the couch pretending to eat ferret
food and they must figure if it's good enough for Mom, we want it and they
like to steal it from me.
 
This way they get used to other foods and I can get them to eat whatever
food they are presented with when I need to.
