First things first -- Barb, my deepest sympathies on your loss. It always
makes me sad to read those messages.

About the flea problem -- I am not the best one to answer exactly which
products are best for ferrets (I know they, like cats, are sensitive), so
I'll leave that to Dr. Williams (or Dr. Brown if she's still on), but I did
want to mention that the most likely reason your having trouble keeping rid
of them is that unfortunately treating just the bedding's not enough. If
your little one runs all over the house like most of ours do, then there are
almost definitely adults and/or at least eggs and pupa (which are very
resistant) in your carpet, and that's why they keep coming back. It is very
important to treat the whole environment, paying special attention to under
beds and under chairs and things in carpeted areas. Again, you should ask
your vet for the best products to protect your furry.

Sorry for the redundant question in my last posting -- I was reading some
issues I hadn't gotten to yet and wasn't patient enough -- should have waited
to see if it was answered in a more current posting first.

One last thing -- Rochelle -- you read my mind! Ever since I've started
hearing all these theories on which ferrets get sick more often and at
earlier ages, I have been intending as soon as I get out into practice to
keep track of every ferret I see and actually formulate some stats. Your
survey could be a good start to something like that if you get enough answers.

Guess I'm finally done commenting for now!
