not surprising, but i'm very thankful that mine don't! with 6 pieces of
metal in my ears and one in my lower lip, not to mention my navel and my
tongue, i'm just waiting for it to happen, though.... i can just see it
now...

maybe because "chortle" has an actual separate meaning in the english
language, whereas "Dook" doesn't (even if it does sound like another
word for poop)? IIRC, a chortle is a loud, gutteral laugh...

this is always a tough call... i purchased loki from a petstore that
wasn't caring for his diarrhea and inflamed rectum, and i probably
shouldn't have, but i couldn't stand to see him there... i did contact
several people about that store's treatment of him, though.

i think there are some cases in which the welfare of the individual ferrets
in question outweighs the big picture, if they are in really bad shape.

of course, if you want to get the store in the pocketbook *and* save the
ferrets, there are ways... but of course, i would *never* steal a ferret,
even from a horribly unethical store that fully deserved it.

i'm too conspicuous-looking. ;)
