Another important thank you is needed in the Bossier ferret case: to
Renee Downs. She did a wonderful job of working with the authorities
and her extensive network of family and friends in Louisiana to get
this sweet little ferret safely out of the state.

I also heard Renee interviewed by a Bossier radio station the other
evening. She did a wonderful job of representing the ferret community
with grace and intelligence. She discussed the history of FERRET,
brought out important information about ferrets, mentioned that there
are many ferret shelters across the country (including the local
Frazzled Ferrets Org), and even got in a little plug for black-footed
ferrets! We all owe her our thanks!
