No need to apologize.  I get fleas sometimes :).  Those boogers are
tenacious.  What I use is Frontline that I get from the vet.  It
expensive but it works trust me I have 13 ferts.  When they come
from outside on the back porch and they haven't been treated in an
approximately a month.  I see the scratching and the treatment begins.
 
But, the other thing is you have to clean and treat everything else.
This way you can them out of the carpets and ferts living space.
 
Fleas can cause anemia to a fert and it doesn't take a lot.
 
I just wanted to share what I use.
