It is a sad situation and it does depend on the state. Florida isn't a
community property state. My 'husband' is a violent person and, let's
just say, isn't good with animals. If a police chief and a corporal
feel they are stolen, that says something. The laws are outdated and
ridiculous when it comes to animals. I had 12; I have 1. Eleven of them
were taken from me. Their cost in a pet store range from $100 - $150,
at least down here.so that's $1,650 - a felony. For me, this isn't
about pressing charges against people. Whether people get charged or go
to jail or whatever isn't my concern. If they are questioned because
the animals were reported as stolen, that might be enough for people
to say who purchased them or what happened. It's a matter of someone
caring enough and doing something to help. Anyone who knows me knows
they were mine. First, he wasn't home much due to his job at the time.
Secondly, he left February 2010 and during the few times he came down
before September, he never took them. Even his family knows I'm the
animal person, but they created this psychopath. Maybe for those who
have read my story in Alabama, near Mobile (Daphne & Spanish Fort
especially, Mobile, Irvington) or Mississippi near Gulfport and close
areas - maybe people who live there can print out my original post from
the other day and bring it to their vets offices. I have some pictures
so if you'd like them, email me at: [log in to unmask] Vets offices
need to know as well so they are aware, and other than looking online,
I don't know what's out there. So that would be a big help to those who
are able and willing to print one paper and bring it to their vets, or
if you have a website address or email address of them, I can send my
story and pictures.

Thank you for your help.
