I spotted something in a post yesterday about a ferret being put in an
out-of-hours drop bin at a rescue centre. Can I just ask people who know
they have drop/dump bins in their area if they would contact me and let me
know where they are and what they're like?

A friend on a dog list is doing some research on these drop bins, I don't
know if they're all as bad as the ones she originally found. I hope not!
But the ones she knew of had just 3 doors for large dogs, cats and puppies,
kittens & small animals......imagine if a ferret was put into the same on
as a large, older puppy! They were only emptied twice a day and had no
food or water or air conditioning etc. Not the best thing going eh?

She's campaigning to improve these facilities and needs more info to give
your Vice President, who's looking into it. If you don't mind taking the
trouble to report in, we'd be very grateful and you might just save a
ferret's life!:-)
