my little weasels can poop to their heart's content.  we finally got
laminated flooring installed..  now you might think - laminated flooring?
what about all those tiny cracks in between?  aren't they hard to replace
on an individual plank basis?
 
I assure you that these are perfectly puddle proofed floors.  after we
installed the laminate, I took a lump of beeswax, rub it along the edge
of each crack, and then use a hair dryer to melt the wax, blowing it a
few passes over the cracks so they are sealed thoroughly.... and the
floor salespeople keep telling me there's no puddle proof flooring,
unless we went with tile..  of course, the "waxing" of the floor took
waaaaay longer than the actual installation itself...
