Just got back from the vet's. Dr Bird did a blood sugar level, which was
99. She is at a loss right now to a specific diagnosis. Since the level
was above 70 she is ruling out insulinoma(sp?). Sarah seems to lose stregth
on her right side, mainly her back leg, and goes limp. This is very
spuratic. It does seem to be happening more and more often. Also we have
noticed that she chews on her tail?? She does not seem to be in pain. She
does interact with the other two ferts, but for short periods of time. Over
all is very listless. Dr Bird took blood to do a CBC @ the lab 3/27. We
should have the results 3/27 in the morning. Dr Bird rules does not think
it is Lymphnomia(sp??), but she feels that it could possibly be nurological
(elusia(sp?)). If anyone has heard of this, has any advice, or knows the
symptoms of nurological diseases in ferts, please let us know. Dr Bird was
reluctant to prescribe any medications, until the blood work comes back on
thursday. If you respond to the list, please email us directly in order to
save time.

Thanks Brian & Carla (very worried parents)
