La-La wasn't with us nearly long enough-- she had her 3rd birthday last
April.. she was a chubby girl (enlarged spleen) and absolutley loved to
dig.. by far our fastest and most determined digger.. she also loved
rubber duckies.. on Christmas Santa brought her dozens of ducks (
thanks giving tree Santa's) La-La was getting weak and would only eat
if feed her soup in a syringe.. we scheduled surgery (thinking it was
her spleen acting up) Dr C. wanted to check first-- and in x-ray and
ultrasound-- we discovered the awful truth-- she was riddled with
Lymphoma.

I held her head and talked to her as she drifted off to sleep-- that's
the hardest lullaby I'll ever sing..
