Roary,

It has nothing to do with luck. Most people purchase the off brand
Kongs and then have problems. There are immatation Kongs out there
like the one Four Paws makes, these are NOT safe for ferrets. The
actual KONG comes in different colors and each color represents the
type/softness of rubber used. The only one that is ok for ferrets is
the BLACK ones as that is the one made for the strongest chewers. I
also added that the "lips" on the top & bottom should be removed to
avoid the ferret from bing able to chew it off. All toys should be
used supervised especially ones made of rubber. I have been a rescue
since 1998 and have hundreds of ferrets come through my door. I do
not believe that none of the ferrets in my care have ever NOT ended
up with a blockage from this toy due to "LUCK".
