To the person with the unwelcome earwig visitors,
 
Unless your earwigs are of a more persistent ilk than the ones encountered
in Colorado, try this non-toxic solution:
 
Take a section of newspaper, mist it thoroughly with water so it's pretty
wet all through, roll it up into a kinda loose, kinda snug bundle so it
mostly stays together by itself and place near/in ferret cage, wherever
earwigs are heaviest.  They like dark, cool, damp places, and will crawl in
here to hide.  Just pick up newspaper and carry to the nearest trash can.
This usually works best at night, removing the 'hotel' in the morning.
