If you live in this area, you missed Saturday's adoptathon, but I am
sure they would love some help:

Pet Adopt-a-Thon Friday, March 16, 2007 8:34:58 AM

Seven dogs and 32 cats died in a fire over one month ago at the
Seminole County Animal Services Building, which also destroyed much of
the building. Tomorrow, the annual Pet Adopt-a-Thon is going ahead as
normal.

Cats are now in borrowed cages and a dog run has been converted into a
makeshift office.

There also is a mountain of dirty laundry to be washed. Faulty wiring
near a clothes dryer caused the fire.

Tomorrow, dozens of rescue groups host the event to match pets to
people.

Along with dogs and cats, other animals are also available, like
ferrets, skunks and guinea pigs.

They will also be accepting donations for repair work.

The event will take place tomorrow from 10a.m. to 3 p.m. at the field
on the corner of Highway 17-92 and Bush Blvd. in Sanfor

It's amazing how much can be accomplished if nobody cares who gets the
credit!
