Personally, I think the idea of a Tarot deck that has ferrets instead of
humans on it is an excellent one. Maybe we could talk Melissa Drake (An
excellent artist, a ferret fancier, and a reader of this list) into making
one! We could call it "Ferrot"! (Pronounced like the Egyptian rulers,
don'cha know? P)

I know /I'd/ buy one!

Okay... since there's been a lot of sad stories lately, I thought I'd toss
in a happy story.

I live with my Aunt in NYC -- she's lived here all her life; I just came.
I live in the room she used to use for building her dollhouses, and my
woozles of course live in here, too. I've talked before about how the
Sneeze likes to nap on the sofa in the biggest dollhouse (it fits him
perfectly... or maybe it's the other way 'round), but today's story
involves... string.

You see, my Aunt is heavily involved with the local doll house club, Big
Apple Miniaturists. She makes 'grab bags' for their events, and she uses
a certain kind of yellow string, that comes wound on a spindle, to make
handles for the bags.

My guys /love/ this string. It's the A1 weasel toy. If it's in a box, and
they know it, they'll do anything they can to open the box. If it's on a
table, they'll push things against the table so they can climb up and get
it.

It's hilarious to watch them... the lengths they'll go to, to get the
spindle... and then to watch the wars over the spindle. The spindle is
about the size of an average ear of corn, so it's about three quarters the
size of my ferets!

A couple of weeks ago, I went away for two days, leaving lots of food and
water in the cage. When I got back, I found that someone (I suspect
Copper; he's my opener) had managed to dislodge one of the tubes from the
Fun-L cage, and they'd gotten out. They got hold of no less than /four/
spindles of string, and unraveled them all over the room! It looked like
a messy, bright yellow spider web!

And in the favorite hidey-hole, under the desk, were the bare spindles.
They'd take /all/ the string off and strewn it around the room!

I had to buy my aunt new string. 8)
