RE: "Hunter, Theresa" <[log in to unmask]>
Hairballs: I put cooking oil(corn or safflower is what we use) on a small
bowl of food and add a little linetone for flavor. Ootz never had fur balls
before but she grooms Possum now, who is real fuzzy. It's what my parents
did for dogs and cats when I was young.

Emotions/Intelligence:

When we had Winnie put to sleep they waited til I got out of classes so I
could say good-bye. (At this time I had not read the Rainbow Bridge
poem)(Apperntly she had) I held her and cried and explained why and what we
were doing and how much I loved her. At this point all she could do easily
was lay in my arms and pant. She crawled up my shirt and looked me in the
eyes and then licked the tears off my nose as if to say "I understand and
I'll be waiting."

On a lighter note Ootz figured out that the window to our bedroom that is on
the patio was just another type of door and how to pull the screen off if
the window was open so she could get into the room. Not intelligent, HA!

To the people of Mass. Hurray, I hope we can do as much on the local level
here in TX.

Also, what is a fitch? I saw it mentioned in postings but the new Compton's
Encyclopedia is rather lame and doesn't mention them.
