I believe that there may be a shelter in Fairbanks, and can retrieve the
address of the woman there. It's the only shelter I know if in the state.

Alaska being huge, we tend to refer to ourselves in regions. I live in
Southeast Alaska, which includes Juneau, the capital, and if your
correspondent was in this region, I am aware of a couple of ferrets
needing a home; feel free to contact me. In this region, I think
placements are done pretty much word of mouth, through our ferret club,
or by the humane society.

Anchorage/Southcentral Alaska must have a bunch of ferret owners, but I
haven't heard about a shelter there. If there is one, please post; many
of us travel north often and would love to visit.

The rest of the state--Western and Northern Alaska--is more remote. I'll
bet there are ferret owners out there, but probably no shelters.

Joan
