One of our rescues, Princess, is very healthy now and has lost nearly *all*
of her excess weight. She looks like a totally different ferret now! When
she moves, her belly doesn't drag on the ground anymore (she was *REALLY*
fat). Anyway, I've noticed that she doesn't run like the other ferrets.
Her front legs run fine, but she hops on her back legs. She keeps them
spaced apart, evenly, and scoots along kind of like a rabbit. Does anyone
know why she might do this? Could she have some kind of back problem we
can't see, possibly from being couped up too much or from dragging that
extra weight around? While it doesn't seem to be life-threatening, she does
have trouble playing with the other ferrets and ends up alone in the corner
alot. She is a very sweet ferret and I want her to play and be happy.

Thanks for your advice.
