Hey FML!:
 
so, some good news.  First off, a very close friend of mine, who said he
could not understand my obsession with ferrets when he lived here in
Michigan (he's now in VA) just got two little girls and just adores them.
He's still got the "yes, please quit biting the toes because they *are*
attached", and "what are we going to call you two besides stinky and
psycho" new dad issues, but he loves them.
 
second good news, I came home from a week in Mexico, to find my ferrets
healthy, fat, and happy to furph at me.  Odo, who just turned 6 in May,
had been moving a little slowly before we left, but he looks great now.
 
last, the sad news is that someone I posted about before, who killed 3 of
his 4 ferrets from neglect (I have the fourth) is getting a dog soon.  I
guess we can't save everyone :-(
