Well, it's time to delurk again! This topic really scares me!!

I had a python when I got my first baby and the minute the snake saw the
ferret he got into that striking position. Needless to say the snake went
to another home. I had nightmares about seeing my baby in the coils of this
thing. Ferrets WILL lose the battle with a constrictor. Remember, Ricky
Tiki went up against a striker. And our babies trust us. They are not going
to be expecting a snake to pop up in their safe havens. There is always
that awful chance that a snake will get out. Scares me just to think of it.

Also I heard a story from a friend who had a boa (a rather large one) and a
pet ferret. Well, his girlfriend didn't like the ferret because it "bothered"
her. Well they had a big fight and the girlfriend let the snake out. He
never found his "baby" but he found a fat snake with a lot of bites in its
face. :(:(:(:(

I'm sorry for this horrible post, but IMHO , the two just don't mix.
